INTRODUCING YOUR 2019 PRESIDENT AND 2018 REALTOR® & AFFILIATE OF THE YEAR RECIPIENTS
The Shasta Association of REALTORS® (“Association”) is pleased to announce the election of Ray Ault as our 2019 President. Mr. Ault is associated with Coldwell Banker C&C Properties in Redding, California, and brings more than 20 years of Shasta County real estate experience, as well as his extensive service on the Association’s Grievance, Multiple Listing Service, Professional Standards, Legislative, Scholarship, and Finance committees, to his presidency.
With an understanding of the additional challenges facing the real estate industry as a result of the devastating wildfires impacting the North State, Mr. Ault will focus on our Association’s adherence to the National Association of REALTORS® mandatory Core Standards for advocacy, consumer outreach, unification, technology, financial solvency, and the Code of Ethics by encouraging participation and compliance to increase member confidence while creating a positive impact on membership and the community.
As President, Mr. Ault will attend three separate annual meetings of the California Association of REALTORS® thereby enabling our Association to learn about and participate in legislative and legal issues relevant to the real estate profession and our community.
Furthermore, the Association proudly honored Affiliate Member, Cathy Acosta, as Affiliate of the Year for 2018. Ms. Acosta is a Mortgage Professional at US Lending Company in Redding, and offers her numerous years of service and leadership to her consistent support of the Association and active participation, including Chairperson of the Association Affiliates’ committee, wherein she organized and continually advocates for the collection and donation of various school supplies to assure struggling classrooms meet the needs of the students for each school year.
The Association also had the privilege of bestowing the coveted REALTOR® of the Year award for 2018 on long time member, Greg Lloyd, Broker and owner of the Real Estate Center in Redding. Throughout Mr. Lloyd’s 29 years as a member of the Association, he has served in multiple capacities, including Director, 2-time President, and Chairperson of both the Scholarship and New Member Orientation Committees wherein he strives to assure new members are armed with the tools to practice effectively and ethically, which demonstrates his dedication to the real estate profession, REALTOR® image, his fellow members, and community.
