Welcome to the Shasta Association of REALTORS® ("Association"), a professional real estate association governed in cooperation with the National Association of REALTORS® ("NAR") and California Association of REALTORS® ("C.A.R.").

The Association is managed by a Board of Directors consisting of a President, President Elect, Treasurer, Secretary, and eight other REALTOR® directors, each elected to serve a one year term and work to establish association operating policies.

In maximizing efficiency and maintaining a pulse on the issues significant to its membership, each year a committee/task force chairperson and respective committee/task force members are appointed to one or more of the 22 standing committees/task forces, by the President and subject to the approval of the Board of Directors.  The committees/task forces work in conjunction with the Board of Directors to improve the operations and benefits of the members.

New members of the Association are required to attend an orientation program outlining the rules and regulations of the local, state, and national associations.  The orientation focuses on ethics, which are mandated and closely monitored by the NAR and designed to protect the member and client, alike.

An advantage of membership includes participation in the Association's Multiple Listing Service ("MLS") provided by FlexMLS.  This system was developed by FBS Data Systems located in Fargo, North Dakota, and allows for both a desktop and mobile app version to ensure members have access to the most up-to-date property information available whether in their office or viewing property.

Additionally, members benefit from programs such as ZipForm,  ePUBs, Digital Ink, Housing Market Forecast, Client Direct, Clarus REsource, and CARmojis all provided through the C.A.R., created to increase productivity, accessibility, and manageability of transactions with clients and/or members.

Emphasizing the importance of licensing renewal requirements, the Association has continuing education courses available for accredited study for the salesperson and brokers combined with in-office presentations outlining a variety of changes impacting the real estate profession.

Lastly, to assure the rights of each member and property owner are protected to the highest level possible, all members are strongly encouraged to pay their share of the “True Cost” of doing business through a voluntary contribution to the REALTOR® Action Fund.  By donating to this fund, members are supporting members throughout the nation in all aspects of real estate which are vital to the profession’s survival and overall success.
